ReceiptSnap Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ReceiptSnap collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the mobile application and related services.

App: ReceiptSnap Effective Date: July 15, 2026 Support: contact@falconsolutions.us

Overview

ReceiptSnap is provided by Falcon Solutions to help users capture, split, and extract structured data from receipt images. The app allows users to take or upload a photo containing one or more physical receipts, automatically detect and separate each receipt, extract expense details, and share the results via social media, email, or other sharing platforms. This policy applies to the ReceiptSnap mobile application and the services used to support it.

Important: ReceiptSnap is a personal receipt digitization tool. You control which receipts to upload and when to share extracted data. Sharing data via social media or other platforms is initiated by you and is subject to the privacy policies of those third-party platforms.

Information We Collect

ReceiptSnap collects and processes the following categories of information to provide its services:

  • Account information collected during registration or SSO authentication, such as your name, email address, and authentication credentials or tokens from Google or Microsoft SSO providers.
  • Receipt images and photos that you capture or upload through the app, including related file metadata.
  • Extracted data from receipt processing, such as merchant name, transaction date, total amount, tax amount, subtotal, and currency — obtained via automated document analysis.
  • Technical and diagnostic information, such as IP address, device type, operating system version, request metadata, error logs, and service-level operational data.

ReceiptSnap does not use advertising technology, third-party ad tracking, or in-app marketing analytics.

How We Use Information

We use information collected through ReceiptSnap to:

  • Authenticate users via email/password or SSO (Google and Microsoft) and manage user sessions.
  • Process uploaded receipt images — including splitting multi-receipt photos into individual images and extracting structured expense data.
  • Store and organize receipt images and extracted data in your account history.
  • Enable you to review, edit, share, or download your receipt data and images.
  • Maintain security, detect misuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve service reliability.

Receipt Processing and Data Extraction

When you upload a receipt image, the file is processed to detect individual receipts, split them into separate images, and extract key information such as merchant name, date, and amounts using automated document analysis technology.

Extracted data is provided as an assistive feature and may not always be fully accurate. You should review all information before sharing or using it. You can edit any extracted field within the app before sharing.

How Information Is Shared

We do not sell personal information collected through ReceiptSnap. We may share or disclose information only as follows:

  • Sharing initiated by you: When you choose to share receipt data or images via social media, email, or other platforms, that action is performed through your device's native sharing features and is controlled entirely by you. ReceiptSnap does not automatically publish or transmit your data to third parties.
  • With service providers that help host, store, secure, or process application data on our behalf.
  • When required to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
  • To protect the security, rights, property, or safety of Falcon Solutions, our customers, or users.

Service Providers and Technology

ReceiptSnap uses service providers and underlying infrastructure to deliver its features. These may include:

  • Cloud storage services for receipt images and related files.
  • Document processing and OCR services (Azure Document Intelligence) used to extract information from receipts.
  • Receipt segmentation services used to detect and split multiple receipts from a single image.
  • Authentication providers (Google SSO, Microsoft SSO) for secure sign-in.
  • Database and application hosting infrastructure used to operate the backend service.

We describe these categories at a practical level rather than listing every technical implementation detail. Specific providers may change over time as the service evolves.
